Extra data added to an eSIM you already installed.
A top-up adds data or days to an eSIM that is already on your phone, without installing a new profile. Some apps offer it as a manual purchase, others as auto-renewal when the balance runs low.
It is useful on long trips where you cannot predict usage. It is also a reason to check the renewal setting, so a plan does not refill when you do not want it to.
